About Us
 
The Dalavich Improvement Group is a registered charity. A company limited by guarantee, it is comprised of unpaid, volunteer Directors who live in Dalavich.
Our History
 
In 2002 we set about controlling and protecting our environment, then, with the help of the villagers and other supporting bodies and grants, we purchased the Village Hall from the Forestry Commission. 
 
As owners of the building and surrounding land our responsibilites are wide ranging. We meet once a month in order to maintain the fabric of the building and administer affairs arising. We also work hard to hold events to entertain visitors and our villagers in order to raise money to ensure our survival and aid with projects aimed at improving our environment.
 
Our annual events such as Burns Night Supper, 5th November celebrations, Christmas party (a joint venture with the Dalavich Social Club) and Hogmany parties are a big success throughout the local community.  This in turn has helped the Village Hall to go from strenght to strength.
 
The commitment and dedication of the Dalavich Improvement Group to purchase the Village Hall and the surrounding land is second to none. There remains a strong commitment within the group to enhance the Village Hall and it's surroundings for the benefit of residents and visitors to the area. To help ensure the safety and well being of all who enjoy the beauty of Dalavich.
